How do we operate

We help you to find the best date and hunting area.
We give you ideas, how you can combine the desired hunt with other game hunt.
We send you an offer, which includes the program from arrival to departure. We organize transfer for our guest arriving by plane. Hunters arriving by car receive a the gps coordinates to the hunting area. So, you can find easily the meeting point. One member of our company or the representative of the hunting area waits for you at the meeting point and discuss the program for the next days. On request we can supply a guide for the tourist programs for you and your family if will travel with you.
After you accepted our offer, the terms & conditions, we make a hunting contract with you.
After you sent back the hunting contract with your signature, you receive the „Letter of invitation”, which you will need while entering Romania. This document contains the following details: type of the rifle or shotgun, factory number, caliber, number of cartridges, your name and passport number.
Everybody, who would like to hunt in Romania, should have the following documents in their own countries:
- Passport or ID card (for EU citizens)
- Hunting license or permit or hunting club membership card
- Firearm license or firearm passport or any other document that proves you are allowed to carry and use a hunting firearm.

How to import a hunting weapon?

Non European Union

Non EU hunters „Import Firearm Authorization”

The „Authorization for the import of hunting weapon” can be obtained from the Romanian Border Police. Regarding the obtaining a weapon import authorization, we will help you and for this we need copies of the following documents and information:
- Passport
- Rifle permit with the details regarding the firearm you want to bring (brand, model, serial number and number of cartridges). For the hunters from USA is required the 4457 form.
- Hunting permit
- Hunting liability Insurance.
- Date of arriving and leaving.
The formalities are valid only for the period you stay. The hunting-guns must not be kept in Romania for a longer period. Upon entering the country, the invitation letter and import authorization will be presented to the authorities.
After verification, you will receive a document stating the identification data of the firearm and the number of cartridges brought.
Upon leaving the country, the received document and the proof of cartridge consumption issued by us will be presented to the border police officer.

European Union

EU hunters - Invitation letter

All European hunters who want to travel with their guns and ammunition need a letter of invitation. For the invitation letter we need copies of the following documents and information:
- ID card or Passport
- European firearm passport (all the pages including the page where is written the weapon you want to bring (brand, model, serial number and number of cartridges).
- Hunting permit/License
- Hunting liability insurance
- Date of arriving and leaving.
Upon entering the country, the invitation letter will be presented to the authorities.
After verification, you will receive a document stating the identification data of the weapon and the number of cartridges brought.
Upon leaving the country, the received document and proof of cartridge consumption issued by us will be presented to the border police officer.

Weapons and trophies

How are weapons stored in Romania during a stay?

During their stay when they are not in the hunting grounds, the hunters are required to store their weapons in metal cases located within hunting lodges, hotels, and forest departments. If such facilities are not available or the distance is to long till the forest service, the weapons will be stored in metal cases provided by the employed technical staff.

Few regulations regarding the rifles in Romania

Hunting in Romania is only allowed with long firearms. Hunting with pistols, bows, spears or crossbows is not permitted.
In Romania, shotguns can be used to hunt only for small game (except wild boar that also can be hunted by shotgun.)
Only three rounds of ammunitions can be inserted in semi-automatic shotguns. We suggest to bring your own rifle or shotgun with you, but you can borrow it too. Shotgun ammunition is always available, however if you have any special requirements you are best to request this in advance. For rifles, guests are requested to bring their own ammunition.

Trophies

What about the trophies?

All the trophies harvested in Romania according to the law must be evaluated according to the CIC methodology by a commission made up of employed personnel and the designated inspector of the national forest guard. To be evaluated according to the CIC methodology, trophies must be prepared in the European way.

What happens after the hunt?

At the end of the hunt, a protocol (payment note) is drawn up, recording the number and size of trophies, all services requested, as well as other details such as wounded game or missed shots and so on.
We prepare the invoice in accordance with this protocol signed by us or by the representant of the hunting area and the hunter guest.
We provide all the documentation needed to the import from Romania to abroad.
Taking the trophies (antler, horn, tusk, feather) to the EU countries the followings are required:
- the invoice provided by the host office that organized the hunting tour
- trophy assess sheet or copies of the hunting license
- for bear the CITES (Export permit) is mandatory
Export of trophies to non EU countries:
- Invoice
- Uniform Costumes Clearance
- Official veterinary certification about the origin of the trophy
- CITES export permit (for bear) and other required documents.
