Red Deer

The red deer hunting in Romania is strictly regulated and organized only within officially approved hunting seasons, based on annual quotas issued by the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MEWF).

Season:

Trophy males: 10^th of September -15^th of November

Cull males: 1^st of September- 31^th of December

Females and calves: 1^st of September- 15^th of February

Best period:

Trophy and cull males: during the rut between 15^th and 30^th of September

Females and calves: December-15^th of February
