The Carpathian chamois hunting in Romania is strictly regulated and organized only within officially approved hunting seasons, based on annual quotas issued by the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MEWF).

Season: 1st of September- 15th of December.

Best period:

Open country: 10th of October- 10th of November

Rocky forested area: 25th of October -15th of December

Hunting seasons and quotas are subject to annual approval and may be adjusted according to Romanian and European Union legislation.
