On February the 7th, we had the pleasure of participating in a truly special event for Romanian hunting. The certification event for the new national record in the red deer species (Cervus elaphus L.) took place at the Posada Hunting Museum, within the National Forest Administration Romsilva, under the careful organization of the CIC Trophy Evaluation Board Romania (CIC TEB RO), in a truly distinguished atmosphere.
The red stag was harvested in hunting ground no. 16 Nereju from Vrancea county in 2025, and following the evaluation carried out by the international CIC panel of judges, the trophy scored 268.41 CIC points, thus surpassing the previous national record — taken in 2003, in Mureș County, on hunting ground no. 37 Fâncel — which had scored 264.01 CIC points.
We would like to mention that the ranking of red deer trophies is currently as follows:

- R. Philipp: 2003 – 264.01 CIC points, hunting ground Fâncel MS
- N. Ceaușescu: 1980 – 261.25 CIC points, hunting ground Soveja VN
- G. Vlasie: 2010 – 257.70 CIC points, hunting ground Tazlău NT
- M.Brateanu: 1989 – 255.95 CIC points, hunting ground Glodeni MS
- G.Zimmermann: Unknow year – 247.99 CIC hunting ground Plaisor AG
- T.F. József: 2016 – 250.40 CIC points, hunting ground Comandău CV
- A. Gall: 1980-246.72 CIC points hunting ground Homorod HR
- N.Ceausescu: 1972 -244.53 CIC points hunting ground Suha Mare SV
